Before I found Recovery Cafe, I was struggling with addiction and I didn’t even understand that I had an addiction.
Life felt overwhelming, and I often found myself trapped in a cycle of negative thoughts and bad habits. However, the moment I walked through the doors of Recovery Cafe, I sensed a shift- Well, not at first but as time went by. The programs and resources offered at Recovery Cafe have been instrumental in my journey toward healing. The various workshops and support groups have not only provided me with valuable tools
for recovery but have also connected me with a community of individuals who understand my struggles. Sharing my experiences with others has been both liberating and empowering, allowing me to view my challenges through a different lens.
One of the most significant changes I’ve experienced is a newfound sense of purpose and how I value my life and the life of my family. The Cafe’s emphasis on personal growth and self-care has inspired me to set goals that once seemed unattainable, and I’ve learned to embrace my journey, celebrating both the small victories and the lessons learned from setbacks. I now approach each day with a sense of hope and determination that I never thought possible. Moreover, the connections I have built with others at Recovery Cafe have enriched my life immeasurably. I have formed friendships that provide support during difficult times and joy during moments of celebration. This sense of camaraderie has been a crucial element in my recovery, reminding me that I am not alone on this path.
I want to thank Recovery Cafe for being a beacon of hope and a nurturing space for those of us seeking recovery. Your dedication to fostering an environment of acceptance and growth has changed my life in ways I could never have imagined. I am excited to continue my journey, armed with the tools and support that I have gained from this wonderful community. A special thanks to Rico G who is no longer with us today, I wouldn’t be where I am today if I never met him along the way.
