What does it look like to live in alignment with your values?
Is it the house you live in, the cars you drive, or the vacations you take? While those things can be the result of hard work, what matters most is how you feel when you lay your head down at night.
At Reclaiming Lives, we talk often about what happens when we drift away from our values. Addiction can be a symptom of that disconnect. When our actions don’t reflect what we believe, we experience shame. Shame is a painful emotional experience that comes from believing that something is deeply wrong or flawed about yourself.
Our team has the privilege of sitting with people in those difficult moments and helping them make choices that realign with their values. We witness life change every day, it’s beautiful, brings hope, and is why we do this work. We continue to press on knowing that every life matters.
As 2025 comes to a close, we would be honored if you would consider supporting our mission through volunteering or donating. Join us for dinner one night in the near future, I know you will be inspired.
Together, we can make a greater impact on our community and those around us.
With Gratitude,

My Name is Ricky, I am a person in Long-term Recovery. My clean date is 2/17/2018.
Hello!
I am a grateful recovering addict who is blessed to have life experiences of not only addiction but prison, foster care, and the ability to have compassion for those who are still struggling. I believe the difference we can make in each other’s lives is by being the best version of ourselves to those we serve, love, and support. My recovery is an absolute reflection of who I am as a person and what I can offer. I strive to lead by example and make a lasting impression on everyone I encounter in one form or another.
